Abel González is a Spanish artist, designer and biologist currently residing in Perth, Western Australia. 
Born in Tenerife, from a young age Abel had a keen interest in animals and nature; he went on to study Biology and Entomology at University of La Laguna and UAB Barcelona. 
He has always been an ambitious artist who first drew inspiration from the comics he read as a child. Later in life he was encouraged by friends to try his hand at portraits - both human and animal.  
Abel's technically precise illustrations have been featured in scientific publications in Europe. 
Abel has extensively studied proportion and form, giving his work an element of realism and accuracy.
